The Supported Volunteering Project

Supporting adults with a learning disability to volunteer in their local community.

About us

We understand that people with a learning disability want to volunteer just like everyone else, but sometimes need a bit of extra help to get started. We also know that everyone has different abilities and needs, so we make sure we treat people as an individual and support each person in a way that best suits them.

Why volunteer?

Learn new skills
Make new friends
Build your confidence
Enhance your job prospects
Help other people
Be part of a team

Can you help?
Volunteer Buddies Wanted!

Could you spare a few hours each week to support an adult with a learning disability to reach their potential?

We are looking for volunteer buddies who can accompany people in their volunteer placements, helping the person to develop skills and confidence to volunteer independently.

This is a really rewarding role as you will make a real difference to a person's life, enabling them to have an equal chance at volunteering and to experience all the benefits that brings.

Training and support will be provided and expenses will be reimbursed.
